Prerequisites:

  • You are an entrepreneur embodied, and a data, analytics, and systems ninja
  • You are a true builder that can roll up their sleeves to get the job done, as well as an emotionally intelligent leader that inspires each member of their team to exceed their own expectations for themselves
  • Proven track record of building, managing, and leading highly effective onshore / offshore data engineering, data science, and business intelligence teams
  • Experience in SQL for complex querying, analysis, performance optimization, and persisting data
  • Experience in data warehouse (required), big data analytics, and AI/ML Solutions
  • Deep expertise working with various analytics and data engineering tools, and cloud environments (Snowflake, PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, Azure, etc)

Responsibilities:

  • Build Tapcheck’s data infrastructure, analytics frameworks, and reporting capabilities
  • Drive continuous improvement of data governance and management across the organization
  • Translate key goals into actionable products, design and develop data models and produce ongoing and recurring reports for internal use by business teams
  • Create definable and trackable KPIs and reporting tools tied to business goals and the company’s strategic plan, and be able to communicate so-whats to leadership
  • Establish data reporting requirements for the organization that ensure clear answers to critical business questions, and with key decision points designed for quick iteration, testing, and execution
  • A hacker’s mentality. You obsess over finding novel ways to efficiently scale every program—even when conventional wisdom says you’re wrong

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10+ years experience in data science, data analytics
  • Comfort with high volumes of unstructured and structured data, with the ability to leverage multiple datasets to draw both granular and big picture conclusions
  • Experience in building, deploying, and testing BI dashboards
  • Experience in summarizing analysis into succinct written briefs/presentations
  • A growth mindset and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Deep comfort level working in a cross-functional role with a highly distributed team
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce), other automation systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, programs and priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Highly organized, great attention to detail and deadline driven
  • Self-starter, self-motivated and a team player
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Master’s degree is preferred
